In today’s Tales From the Cast, Arizona’s Josh Bertrand tells the story about how a single bite during Day Two of the Elite Series stop on Lake Dardanelle this past season changed the outlook for the rest of his year.

Bertrand got off to a solid start, finishing the first day of competition in 23rd place with a limit weighing 14-10.

Things did not go well on Day Two, and with less than an hour left to fish he had yet to boat a keeper.  That all changed when the Arizona pro landed a 5-pounder with just minutes to spare before check-in.

With just one fish on Day Two, Bertrand fell below the Top 50 cut, but that one 5-pound keeper proved to be the difference between finishing in 63rd place in the tournament and finishing in 94th place in the tournament.
