Gonzales, Louisiana – After competing on the FLW Tour in 2016, 2017 marked Gerald Spohrer’s rookie season on the Elite Series.   He finished the season in 87th place in the TAOY point standings, but ended on a high note with a 28th place showing in the Elite Series on Lake Champlain, a 13th place finish in the Bassmaster Northern Open on the James River, and a 7th place finish in the Elite Series on Lake St. Clair.
