Through the first three stops on the 2018 Bassmaster Elite Series, Bradley Roy is leading the Toyota Angler Of the Year standings.  

He kicked things off with a 25th place finish on Lake Martin in early February and then finished in 4th place on Grand Lake at the end of April.  Last week on Kentucky Lake, Roy landed in 22nd place.  

With a total of 282 TAOY points, he leads Brent Chapman by six points heading into the fourth stop of the season this week on Lake Travis in Texas.   

This is by far the best start to an Elite Series season for Roy, who started fishing the Elite Series in 2010 but didn’t qualify for his first Bassmaster Classic until 2017 (when he finished in 7th place on Lake Conroe).  

The BZ caught up with Roy following the Elite Series stop on Kentucky Lake to get his take on the 2018 season and what he expects moving forward:
