Auburn, Calif. – There are not too many people in the world that can say they are the proud owner of an official battle worn Skeet Reese jersey; besides the 2007 Toyota Tundra Angler of the Year himself. However, as a part of the launch of Reese’s new branded clothing line (click here) at the 2008 Bassmaster Classic at South Carolina’s Lake Hartwell, Reese offered each person who purchased an item an entry into a drawing to win one of his jerseys.
Kim Reese, Skeet’s wife, contacted The BASS ZONE to say that they have recently finished the drawing and Gayle Bedwell of Indianapolis, Ind. was drawn as the winner. “Gayle was so excited when we told her,” Mrs. Reese told The BASS ZONE. “She and her husband Roy are big fans of Skeet’s, and when they came to our booth at The Classic, they entered the contest.”

Mrs. Reese said that Bedwell is an avid angler and that as they received news of the prize, the Bedwells were packing up for a two week outing to Lake Guntersville. “She was so excited and was so grateful to her husband for taking her to The Classic and for helping her win Skeet’s jersey.”
Bedwell was one of hundreds of entrants into the contest that Reese said was her husband’s way of giving back to his fans. “We haven’t given too many of Skeet’s jerseys away over the years, they are full of memories and special meanings to us,” she said. “But, the fan’s support has meant the world to Skeet over the years, and he wanted to find a way to thank them; this was our way of doing that.”
On the water, the 2007 Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year, started
the final day of the Bassmaster Elite Series’ Pride of Georgia at Clark’s Hill
in 7th place. In the season’s point race, Reese currently sits in 6th place in the angler of the Year points race in his bid for a second consecutive title.
