GA – Being on location at Elite Series events gives The BASS ZONE the unique opportunity to see and hear information long before many others do. In most instances, said information revolves around an angler’s patterns, a hot bait or record catches.
The Pride of Georgia at Clark’s Hill is no different, only this time the inside information revolves around Steve and Julia Kennedy; and their announcement of an expected addition to their family. “I found out I was pregnant while Steve was fishing an FLW Series event at Lake Wheeler,” Mrs. Kennedy said. “I drove home for a doctor’s appointment after doing several home pregnancy tests; the doctor confirmed what the tests said.”
The announcement came as Steve Kennedy was sleeping after the first day of the event, and according to him, he didn’t win any points. “She came in and told me the news late that night, and I was sleeping, so I didn’t respond well,” Kennedy said. “I woke her up the next morning and looked at the ultrasound images, and kind of made up for it.”
Kennedy said there are a whole lot of planning and thoughts that come to mind when thinking of the arrival, but he’s really looking forward to it. “I’m really excited about it,” he said. “The real question is how Louie, (the couple’s Jack Russell Terrier) will take to the whole thing.”
“Looks like we’ll be testing the effectiveness of the baby pattern at the final FLW Series event of the season at Clark’s Hill the week before the baby is due,” said Julia Kennedy.
The BASS ZONE wishes the Kennedy’s congratulations and blessings.
The Kennedy’s join Bill Lowen and his wife Jennifer who will be welcoming their first child, while James Niggemeyer and his wife Sandy will be having their second child this season, and Paul Hirosky’s wife, Andrea delivered their son, Paul, while Hirosky was at the Falcon Lake event.
