TIM TUCKER KILLED IN AUTO ACCIDENT

Bass Fishing World Mourns the Loss of Outdoor Writer

As the BASS ZONE On Location staff was traveling from Lake Champlain to Buffalo, we learned  the sad news that veteran outdoor writer, Tim Tucker, was killed in a car accident today near his home in Florida.  Alabama outdoor writer, Alan Clemons, contacted Mark later this afternoon and  confirmed the news. Tim was traveling from a baseball game with his son, Kyle and another boy, when the accident occurred. Details are incomplete. Kyle was injured and in the hospital, but the other boy apparently is OK. Neither Tim’s wife, Darlene, or their daughter was in the accident.

Although the story was an early file, the Gainesville Sun ran the story of the crash on its web site, but with no victim identification.

Visit http://www.gainesville.com/article/20070716/SUNFRONT/70716013  and there is information about the crash and a photo of the highway backup.

Tim was a good friend and his contributions to the sport of bass fishing can not be replaced by anyone.

Tim, we will miss you.

More info to come.
