Clarkesville, Ga. – In our feature article that was posted on July 2nd, (click here) Andy Carroll and YUM has been working with Terry ‘Big Show’ Scroggins to design and produce a pair of signature soft baits to be released at ICAST July 11 – 13 in Las Vegas.

The baits are called Big Show Craw, and Big Show Paddle Worm, and are both based off of handmade prototypes that Scroggins and a friend made in the garage. “My friend Rick Couch of Ocala, Fla. and I go back and forth on these baits to come up with something we like,” Scroggins said. “Then we send it off to Andy Carroll at YUM, and they work on it with me until it’s finished.”

The end results are something Scroggins is very satisfied with. “I’ve been flipping heavy matted cover here in Florida for a long time, and there are some good baits that I’ve used for years, but they never really combined size and action very well,” Scroggins told The BASS ZONE. “This bait is a little bulkier with the body ridges, and the claws are unique, because they are designed to have movement, unlike other baits that don’t have much action.”

Scroggins said that his Big Show Craw has claws that lay flat when held upright, but come to life in the water. “Most of my flipping bites happen on the initial drop,” he said. “But, when they don’t, I want to be able to have a bait trigger strikes, and this will do it.” Big Show Craw measures 3 ½-inches and will be available in 12 colors.

The Big Show Paddle Worm has a very thin middle section and a paddle shaped tail that is designed for ultimate action. “It takes very little movement to make this bait wiggle,” exclaimed the five time BASS winner. “Also, the most effective worms I’ve used stand almost upright on the bottom, and this does that.”

He said that the smallest size was designed for shaky head fishing while the larger sizes were intended for Texas rigs. “This will be an awesome worm around deeper brushpiles,” Scroggins said. “I know that they will help people catch more fish, because they have great action, great colors, and they are full of YUM’s LPT scent.”

The Paddle Worm will be available in three sizes (6, 7 ½ and 10-inch versions) and 16 colors, and will be available after ICAST.
