Platter, Okla. – After over a decade of professional fishing, a tenure that has included four Bassmaster Classic appearances and over $430,000 in BASS winnings, Jeff Reynolds has elected not to fish the Elite Series in 2010.
The reasons are entirely financial. In an economy where even big-name stars are having trouble securing deals, the soft-spoken Reynolds had trouble coming up with the amount he needed. “I didn’t get enough sponsor dollars, that’s pretty much it,” he said, adding that even in the best of times he “never had a whole lot.”
